I took Celexa, and it had no effect on me at all; I even went up to three times the dose they were happy with, and still didn't feel any better. It is very personal. I have a thyroid condition so I hightailed it to my doctor and told him I needed to up my thyroid meds because I was gaining weight. Whenever my thyroid levels dip, I gain weight and feel awful. But my blood tests came back normal. My thyroid was doing its job.
In nine weeks on Lexapro, I gained almost 10 pounds. The scale just kept going up even though by then I had embarked in a very strict diet and started exercising like crazy. Nothing I did helped. Oh, by the way, it didn't kill my libido like many antidepressants can and do. But I killed it because I was not happy with my body.

However, I don't like being on it because it also shuts off other thoughts; like being able to actively listen to people or sharing my thoughts on a subject. I will have a hard time coming up with words and stop mid-sentence. My libido was fine and it actually helped me last longer in bed. Eventually it stops working around the spring anyways and I don't want to up the dosage or I'd be a complete moron. I tried coupling it with adderall or Wellbutrin but those caused too much anxiety and I couldn't sleep on adderall.
I'm going to try something new this summer, maybe Remeron. But it really, really helps with the anxiety. First few weeks were absolute hard work. I am also currently on seroquel quetiapine 25mg in the mornings and evenings.

I have been taking it now for almost 2 months, and it totally changed my life and I feel like my old self. It's very individulaized; my advice is to do what makes you feel the best. This med helps shut it off and I am very comfortable being myself when I'm on it. I had side effects like headaches, nausea, and tiredness but I knew that was transient. My worry got to the point that I was often in tears because of it and I even had physical symptons similar to having too much caffeine in one's system. Does anyone have any experiences with it working later than expected? The only down side to Lexapro is that in some people it luvox cr discount card weight gain. You have to weigh the benefits with the side effects and decide for yourself about any medication, lexapro why is it good reviews. I again experienced side effects. When she asked me if I was depressed, I said, "No", that I was just stressed. My libido was fine and it actually helped me last longer in bed.
